In looking at GEOS-ESM/MAPL#3788, I noticed
CAP.rchas an entry forMAPLROOT_COMPNAME. As far as I can tell, absolutely nothing in GEOSgcm, or heck, the whole GEOS-ESM org uses that:https://github.com/search?q=org%3AGEOS-ESM%20MAPLROOT_COMPNAME&type=code
Lots of things have it, but MAPL only has it one example file.
Since it is dead code, we remove it.
That said, I'll CC in @bena-nasa and @atrayano in case they know of something using this.
